This piece is a tribute to Jalaluddin Rumi. My friend, (a poet) Wan A Rafar has given quite a big space to looking at Rumi's work by reprinting the translation of Rumi's poem; in his blog [jendeladankemeja].
Today I wish to "pluck" a few words by Jalaluddin Rumi :
"Everything that is made beautiful and fair and lovely
is made for the eye of one who sees."
[Mathnawi : 1,2383]
Translated by Camille and Kabir Helminski.
Do "see" the beautiful, the fair and the lovely. Does one see with the eye or with the heart (kalb)? The question is mine!
