SINGING WITH A FISH (5)

A CLUSTER OF ROARS

The spike of brutality

impales across the land

crushing human souls.

The hapless children

are hoarding

:

Blood.Bones.Tears. Books. Corpses. Stones. Skeletons. CDs. Prayers.

Flesh.Glasses. Robes. Grief. Balls. Bread. Misery. Pens. Water.

Baloons. Heat. Cries. Love. Sorrows. Hate. Flowers. Pillows.

Thirst. Kiss. Hunger. Killing. Photos. Skies. Blanket.

Rubble. Rubbish. Loneliness. Bloodlust.

Peace. Peace. Peace.

Peace.

:

YET CRUELTY CONTINUOUS.

Reading this is like viewing a video clip of cruelty in my mind. So vivid.

The cluster of roars,
The towers of flames,
The rivers of blood,
Flowing down mountains of blames.

halela,

I can't shut my eyes,
I can't open my mind,
Let me swim in the pond of nowhere.

(Puan maafkan saya. Saya tak mampu melawan guru!)

Thank you halela and I need more words from you.

iamnasra,

I do feel the same. We are sharing sorrows and prayers. Keep calm.

starry nights,

Every one is sad. It's not jocking when it comes to "killing". For the leaders I would like to say : GIVE LIFE A CHANCE!

Thank you to both of you.

don't shut your eyes else darkness envelopes your words,
don't open your mind else words leave never to return,
Swim in the pond of no return and remine where you are.

Not guru, just humbly me.

It is nearly impossible to insulate ourselves from what is happening around DM. One cannot think of painting the walls and buying new furniture if bombs are falling and bullets are firing across. Survival becomes the utmost priority. Such situations are created by some evil minded businessmen who run the governments by proxy. All they want is money and their products of destruction sold, they have no respect for human life. Both the warring nations are the victims of their greed. These developed nations still remain uncivilised, skipped and untouched by the process of natural selection.

Thank you for viditing my page DM, Your word have profound impact on the reader

halela,

I'm OK now,
just sitting by the pond,
and listening to the song
by a young fish.

rauf,

I'm dumb, sometime. I can't believe that how high ranking people treat this old globe cruelly. Even now the oceans are jeering to these people. But who cares.

halela dan rauf, a big THANK YOU.

forgive me, i forgot to mention in my comment before...

my fav line would be...
"Rubble. Rubbish. Loneliness. Bloodlust."

this time around, i truly hope the world will eventually acknowledge who "bloodlust" refers to. definitely not me and my fellow muslims.

scarlet kingsnake,

Thank You for stopping by.
I'm writing in Bahasa Melayu. "Merinci Ufuk" is my anthology of poetry published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, 2003.

....and humanity : now is very very sick. I need not to say more!

Terima kasih.

Dear Ukukhati, how touching your verse was. It really hurts to watch news these days full of brutalities against innocent civilians in Palestian and rest of the world really.Don't know where is the world leading to?

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Dear ufuk

That is now my poem...but how i wished. It's a song by John Lennon. The meaning goes deep. In my heart I keep. Singing the tune to sleep. Wondering how those people weep.

Wan A. Rafar said...

"Blowing in the Wind" sebenarnya sebuah lagu nyanyian Bob Dylan. Saya tidak tahu lagu itu juga dinyanyikan oleh John Lennon.

ufukhati said...

junita,

I'm sorry. Why am I too blind to "hear" the blowing wind?

wan a rafar,

Thank You for your information.

Monster Mom said...

a a... tq for the correction wan...
I was mistaken by another song by John Lennon - Give peace a chance..
Blowing In the wind is Bob Dylan's.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'm only human...

ufukhati said...

junita,

again, thank you.
